Interior altar statuette, receptacle of domestic spirits. This type of statue was brought by women during funeral ceremonies. We see a woman sitting on a birth stool. The sculpture alternates cubic and rounded features. The cap, in « crest of a rooster », is characteristic of the Senufo. There is also a junction of the woman’s legs with the front feet of the stool. The object has a good patina of use marks of its age
