Statue of ritual altar representing a maternity. The female figure sits on a stool with a child on his lap. The style and the polychrome recalls a colonial influence. There is a very nice black lacquer on the mother’s body, she wears a green loincloth. The child is painted red. It can be a statue celebrating or promoting future maternity.
