The Gelede ritual society is from Yoruba civilisation and culture, in southwest Nigeria also in part of Benin. We can find differents societies in many villages. The ceremonies took place during agricultural times from january to may, also for family events (funerals, wedding, birth). For the organisation of Gelede’s exhibition in Guingamp in 2009 to illustrate the ritual of masks Gelede, i filmed a ceremony (night and day) of a gelede’s society in Naogon. This celebration was organized at the request of a family for funerals.
