For the reopening of the gallery after several months of artistic and cultural dearth, we propose to rediscover the work of the Togolese visual artist, Camille T\u00e9t\u00e9 Azankpo.\u00a0A long-time friend, Azankpo is a seamstress of art: enamelled basins and recuperated advertising panels are cut up, decomposed and assembled in balanced and colorful creations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The works produced are as much a testimony to the artist’s culture and heritage as a reflection on our globalization.\u00a0Renowned artist on the international scene, his works have recently integrated the art palace of Lom\u00e9. His work leaves no one unmoved.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Camille’s work will come into dialogue with our latest acquisitions of primitive art (folk art, masks, ritual statues, archaeology) selected for their aesthetics and especially for their authenticity: an African palaver, an artistic meeting to discover! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
